Dr Anitha Emmanuel

Dr. Anitha Emmanuel is a caring and dedicated Consultant Paediatrician committed to providing comprehensive healthcare for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. With an MD in Pediatrics from Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Thiruvalla, she combines evidence-based medical practice with a warm, child-friendly and family-centred approach. She is currently practising at Believers Medical Centre, Konni, Pathanamthitta, Kerala. She has experience in the independent management of paediatric outpatient and inpatient cases, as well as the assessment and stabilisation of paediatric emergencies. She has also worked as a Senior Resident at Government Medical College, Konni, where she managed a broad range of childhood illnesses and coordinated patient care with multidisciplinary teams. Her clinical training includes newborn and neonatal care, neonatal resuscitation, growth and developmental assessment, immunisation, preventive paediatrics, nutritional counselling and paediatric emergency care. She has also completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR) and has undergone training in infection control, NABH protocols and antimicrobial stewardship. She maintains an active interest in academics and developmental paediatrics. Her academic work includes poster presentations at state and national paediatric conferences and a publication titled “Motor Delay – A Diagnostic Dilemma” in the International Journal of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics. Known for her approachable and reassuring manner, Dr. Anitha believes that good paediatric care extends beyond treating illness.
