Dr. Aruna Chandra Babu, is a committed Paediatrician and Neonatologist currently practising at Kinder Hospital, Pathadipalam, Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala. Dr. Aruna Chandra Babu completed her MBBS in 2016 from Government Medical College, Thiruvarur, followed by her CRRI internship at the same institution. She pursued her DNB in Paediatrics (2019–2022) at Medical Trust Hospital, Kochi, gaining comprehensive training under leading paediatricians and neonatologists. Her passion for newborn medicine led her to complete an IAP Fellowship in Neonatology at Renai Medicity, Kochi (2022–2023) where she received advanced training in Level III NICU care, neonatal ventilation, neurocritical care and central line procedures In 2024, she earned the prestigious MRCPCH (UK) from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, strengthening her global paediatric expertise. From July 2023 to August 2025, Dr. Aruna Chandra Babu served as a Consultant in the Department of Neonatology at Rajagiri Hospital, where she managed extremely preterm infants, neonatal seizures, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy requiring therapeutic hypothermia, and critically ill newborns requiring advanced respiratory support. She also played an active academic role by training DNB and fellowship candidates, moderating discussions and contributing significantly to postgraduate teaching activities Special Interests Dr. Aruna Chandra Babu has deep clinical interests in Neonatology and Paediatric Cardiology. She is trained in point-of-care neurosonography, lung ultrasound and neonatal echocardiography, with a focus on improving long-term outcomes in high-risk newborns. She also conducts academic teaching sessions, participates in case discussions and contributes to training of paediatric postgraduates Academic Achievements and Contributions Her academic journey includes several distinctions during MBBS and active participation in paediatric academic programs.
