Dr. Bavij Balan is a Consultant Psychiatrist. He has about 9 years of experience in treating and helping people with mental illness. He graduated MBBS from Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, Thrissur. Later he did his Post graduation study in PSYCHIATRY from prestigious Government Medical College Hospital Thiruvananthapuram and PG diploma in Child Psychology and Counselling Psychology from Institute of Holistic Mental Health Tirupur through correspondence course. Recently completed his fellowship in family medicine from Medversity supported by Apollo Hospitals. Dr. Bavij Balan has in-depth knowledge of various modalities and therapies used to aid the patients recoveries and is known for his excellent interpersonal and communication skills. He is well versed in assessment diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders across diff age groups which has gained through his thorough knowledge in ICD 10, DSM IV TR and DSM 5. He has worked in several private and govt. institutions these years and his areas of expertise include Deaddiction, Child and Adolescent psychiatry, Management of neurotic and bipolar mood disorders.
