There was a fair representation from the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Orissa, West Bengal, Assam, and Rajasthan other than for the international faculty from Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. There was a whole section devoted to Ayurveda and plant products as well. The conference was hosted in Kochi on the 20th and 21st September 2009 • Invited faculty for SNAKE-SYMP- “ Conference on Snakes, Venom and Snakebite” organized in Tezpur, Assam • Invited faculty as a resource person for – the “Re orientation Training program” organized by the Trivandrum Ayurveda Medical college and AYUSH. This was a six day conference organized in Trivandrum, Dec 15-20th 2008 • Delivered a talk on AIR NEW DELHI in November 2009 • Present project related to an “Epidemiological study on the incidence of snakebite in Kerala: 2010-2011.This registry would require the authentication of the total number of patients admitted with venomous snakebite in hospitals in the State, both allopathy and ayurveda.
