Dr Mohith Mathew

Dr Mohith Mathew is an Assistant Professor in General Surgery at Jubilee Mission Medical College, Thrissur. He believes that good surgical care begins with understanding the person behind the problem. He treats a wide range of surgical conditions, with particular interest in varicose veins, hernias, breast tumours, and common abdominal emergencies such as appendicitis, gallbladder infections and intestinal obstruction. He also regularly manages diabetic and other chronic foot ulcers, with an emphasis on identifying and addressing the underlying causes rather than simply treating the wound. As a general surgeon, he is also regularly helping people with bleeding problems like piles or anal fissures. Whether surgery is needed or not, he takes a practical, evidence-based approach, explaining the condition and available options clearly and helping patients choose a treatment that is appropriate for them. His goal is to make surgical care less intimidating, more understandable, and centred around what is genuinely best suited to each patient.
