Dr Romy Yesudas

I am Dr. Romy Yesudas, MBBs, DPM, DNB Psychiatry. I am working as a Psychiatrist in Trivandrum, Kerala. I have completed M.B.B.S and PG Diploma in Psychological Medicine(DPM) from Govt. Medical College,Thiruvananthapuram. Which is one of the top medical colleges in India. I have acquired clinical skills for general patient care and psychiatric patient management from there. After DPM, I had worked as senior resident for a period of 1 year in govt. Medical college, Konni and on working arrangement in Govt.T.D medical college, Alappuzha as part of my bond obligation.I was the only faculty in psychiatry department in Govt.Medical colege, Konni initially and I had done a vital role in setting up psychiatry department there. I had taken Covid duties in both the medical colleges during my senior residency period and acquired skills in management of covid patients also. After senior residency, I joined for DNB Psychiatry (post diploma) in 2022 in Mental Health Centre, Thiruvananthapuram which is one of the oldest and best mental hospital in India.This hospital is having the largest patient population both inpatient and outpatient in Kerala. I got more exposure in psychiatric patient care and acquired more clinical skills from there. After DNB Psychiatry course in 2024, I joined as Specialist doctor in Psychiatry under National Health Mission, Thiruvananthapuram on contract basis.I have conducted psychiatry OP in two Urban Primary Health centres 2 days per week and I worked in Mental Health Centre, Thiruvananthapuram as psychiatrist on rest of the days.I have also taken 12hr day and night duties in MHC.I had conducted Psychiatry camps in Primary Health Centres in Thiruvananthapuram.I have also attended various Psychiatry CMEs and updated my knowledge in this field.
