Dr Surabhi V R

Dr. Surabhi V R is an ENT specialist with expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of ear, nose and throat conditions. She completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Trivandrum, followed by MS in ENT (Oto-Rhino-Laryngology) from Madras Medical College. She has also completed a Post Doctoral Certificate Course (PDCC) in the Assessment and Management of Vertigo and Balance Disorders from Yenepoya University, along with specialized training in Laryngology. Dr. Surabhi V R is currently working as an Assistant Professor at SUT Academy of Medical Sciences, Vattappara, Trivandrum. She has previously worked as a Registrar at Dr Rela Institute and Medical Centre, Chennai and KIMSHEALTH Trivandrum, and as a Senior Resident at Government Medical College, Kollam. She has also worked as a Consultant at hospitals in Trivandrum. For patients, Dr. Surabhi V R offers evaluation and treatment for common and complex ENT concerns involving the ears, nose, throat, voice, swallowing, hearing and balance. She has particular expertise in the evaluation and management of vertigo and balance disorders and is trained in diagnostic procedures such as vHIT, fHIT, Electrocochleography and VEMP. She is also experienced in performing advanced ENT examinations including diagnostic nasal endoscopy, videolaryngoscopy, nasopharyngolaryngoscopy, FEES and stroboscopy. Her surgical expertise includes procedures involving the ear, nose, sinuses, tonsils, adenoids and larynx, as well as surgeries related to obstructive sleep apnoea. Dr. Surabhi V R has received recognition for her academic and professional work, including a Gold Medal for Best Paper at the National Conference of Phonosurgeons of India in 2022, the 3rd Best Paper Award at the Tamil Nadu State Annual Conference of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India in 2021, and the Best Speaker Award during World Hearing Day celebrations in 2022. She has also participated as ENT faculty and speaker at the Kerala Emergency Medicine Summit (KEMS 2.0) in 2026.
